Mpanga tea factory  has   invested and purchased a safepus  compact switch Gear from ABB,this will help to  protect the  transformer from external power fluctuation  and shock loads.thus making factory operations stable and achieving efficient  electric energy use .

The company has also created new offices for the marketing manager and Human Resource Manager,all  well equipment,this has been achieved by expansion  of one of  the existing administration block,this was aimed at improving service delivery of HRM office,which has been newly created and was also in line with the infrastructure requirements for reducing the number of persons entering the factory premised as the marketing office was formerly located inside the factory.

Mpanga growers Tea factory appreciates the community it stays with by giving back to them. On Saturday 6^th March 2010, Mpanga Growers Tea factory held a health Fair where staff members, shareholders, out grower farmer’s received VCT (voluntary counseling and testing for HIV/Aids) services. Members also benefitted from reproductive health training, malaria control and prevention of tuber closes.

Mpanga Growers Tea Factory launched its products on the market in a successful event that was characterized by lots of music and fun fair in Nov 2009 in Fort portal town. The function was attended by a number of people from all walks of life (about 3000).As a result; sales in the region have more than doubled. The company plans to have more launch functions in every region.

In order to meet customer demands and requirements, Mpanga grower’s tea factory has started the process of getting ISO 22000; 2005 Certification.  ISO 2200 is a food safety management system that makes food safe for human consumption .This is in line with the company objective of providing safe products (hazards free) through the food chain to the end user/consumer.
